A useful stage explains the day

A useful roadbook tells you where the ride starts, what kind of road to expect and where to pause. It should distinguish an essential waypoint from an optional detour, and include an easier alternative when a day is demanding. Ask how hotel arrival, fuel and planned activities fit around the riding.

Agree the navigation format before travel

Different GPS units and phone apps can calculate different roads between the same points. Tell us your device and app, test a sample before departure and confirm the settings. If GPX is requested, establish whether you need a track or a route and check compatibility. A navigation file never guarantees that a road is open.

Prepare for the moment your phone has no signal

Download maps, hotel details and support contacts for offline use. Carry a tested power supply and a mounting solution suitable for your motorcycle. Stop somewhere safe before changing the plan or handling the device. If road signs or local instructions conflict with navigation, follow the current road situation and use the agreed alternative.
